Wee Learn Curriculum
- The purpose of this program is to help children to grow and develop as Jesus did --"in wisdom and stuture" and "in favor with God and men" (Luke 2:52). This guide provides a range of activities designed to meet the needs of infants and toddlers at their level of development along with the growth continuum. It also provides guidance and activities in each unit to help each child develop language, pre-reading and other foundational skills appropriate to his or her state of development.
Curriculum: 12 - 18 Months
High Reach Learning Curriculum
- a family involved Early Childhood program that provides creative hands-on activities that allow children to learn through experimentation and exploration. Beginning math and vocabulary skills as well as music, motor skills and art are all part of the daily curriculum.
David C. Cook Bible in Life

Signing Time

Abeka Phonics System
- Using the simple logical phonics system the children will learn to read. They begin by mastering the vowels and consonants and their sounds. Forming blends and reading simple words come naturally after that. By the second semester the children begin reading. Writing books are coordinated with the phonics program. They learn to write the alphabet using both upper and lower case letters. The second semester they begin writing blend words.
Saxon Math
- Saxon math is a success-oriented program that enables children to develop a solid foundation in language and basic concepts of all areas of math. Each day children participate in math activities called The Meeting. Here they practice indentifying the month, day and year, identifying a pattern, recognizing numbers, and counting. Each month The Meeting changes as the children acquire knowledge and skills.
Bible Time
- Each day children are introduced to Bible stories from the Old and New Testament. Bible time includes Bible stories, the pledge to the flag, a patriotic song, Bible hymns and choruses, memory verse and prayer time.
Unit Studies
- Each week a different unit of study is introduced (ex. Community Helpers, Birds, Farm) to help children learn about the world around them. Many of their art activities derive from these units.
Curriculum: After School
The after school program includes children from Kindergarten through age 10.
The Longview School District will bus children from Doris McQueen, Mozelle Johnson and Hudson PEP to the Center. Parents will be responsible for making these arrangements with their child's school. The Center's insurance will cover those children while at the Center. It will be the parent's responsibility to notify the Center if their child will be absent.
The summer program involves day camp activities, VBS and field trips.
