Habitat for Humanity 300 W  Tyler St  - Christian housing ministry which helps families to get into a home they can afford.  Two volunteer opportunities: construction work or work at the Restore Building Supplies Center taking in donations and helping customers with purchases. Salvation Army 519 E Cotton - A shelter that provides short-term housing for families.  Provides assistance electric bills, food, and clothing.   Volunteers need from 5-6:30p.m. to serve dinner. Donate towels, sheets, and canned goods. Contact 903.753.4511 or www.salvationarmy.org.

 

Women’s Center 1415 McCann Rd - Assist by providing paper products, feminine hygiene products, pampers housecoats, clothes, etc.  Also need assistance in December to provide Christmas for children. Contact Paula Ellis at 903.295.8067.
