Mobberly to Hold First Service in Newly Renovated Marshall Campus Building

Posted: October 11, 2017

Mobberly Baptist Church will hold their first service in their newly renovated Marshall campus facility at 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017.

Since Mobberly took ownership of the property in June, located at 101 W. Carolanne Blvd in Marshall, the new campus has undergone significant renovations in preparation for this Sunday's Worship Gathering. For more than three years, Mobberly's Marshall campus has been meeting at the Marshall Convention Center, but has been seeking a building they can use as a launching pad for future ministry in the area.

"With a new long term base of operations in the heart of Marshall, the Mobberly family will continue to build on its presence in the lives of Marshall residents and surrounding communities," Dr. Glynn Stone, Mobberly's senior pastor said.

The renovations to the facility expanded the Worship Center and remodeled Connect Group rooms for all ages, preparing for more people to join as the Marshall campus expands its reach.

"We are extremely excited to have a home base in Marshall that will help us accomplish our mission: People leading people into a life-changing, ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ, " Davis said. "This new location not only allows us to have great impact on the Bel Air and surrounding neighborhoods, but all of Marshall and the surrounding communities."

New programs, such as a sports ministry, are planned to begin at the new location in the coming months.

"We are building a strong partnership with Travis Elementary and looking forward to utilizing our property for ministries such as Upward Sports for children," Geoffrey Davis, Mobberly's Marshall campus pastor said. "The building itself will allow us to expand our already-excellent children's ministry and host more guests in our Worship Gatherings.

"In three years as a mobile congregation, God reinforced in us the important truth that church is not a time or place, but a group of people, " Davis said.

Connect Groups for preschool (birth-kindergarten) and children (grades 1-6), as well as adult and youth (grades 7-12), are held at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Worship Gathering at 10:45 a.m.
