A note from Pastor Glynn...
“We know that at every critical point of growth in Mobberly’s past, God has rewarded our faith with favor, victory and blessings beyond our imagination. This time is no different. Make no mistake, the challenge before us is immense. The Bridge is the largest capital campaign in our church history. I ask that everybody give to this campaign—not out of guilt, necessity or command—but in faithful sacrifice and devotion. It’s not about how large a gift you can give—no gift is too large or too small. It’s about sacrificing equally, and asking ourselves, “What am I willing to sacrifice to give to God’s kingdom?’”
Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed. II Corinthians 9: 6-8

Making A Pledge – Showing Your Commitment
Making a pledge is your opportunity to tangibly express your intended commitment to help pay for this ministry tool called The Bridge. These pledges enable those planning for The Bridge to estimate and plan for the process of paying for it. Remember that a pledge is simply an expression of what God has laid upon your heart in being a part of this project. Note the Devotional Plan below to assist you in hearing God’s voice regarding your commitment. For a more extended time of devotion in this area see the 40 Days of Prayer and Fasting guide used in the initial Bridge planning.
You can express your commitment on one of The Bridge Commitment Cards (see church office or print online) in different ways…
Through a one-time gift of cash
Through regular contributions (weekly, monthly, annually, other) of cash – see Giving Guide below
Through contributions of non-cash gifts such as stocks, bonds, jewelry, etc.
Note: Please contact the Stewardship Office regarding any non-cash gifts you would like to consider giving
Any combination of the above
A Personal Challenge From A Mobberly Member:
“Our church has gone through nine consecutive capital campaigns, and though we given generously to do some amazing things, we’ve never really been stretched. When I think about the great things God will do through us during this Bridge journey—and with the building to come—I can’t help but wonder how we’re going to respond. Are we going to be like the widow woman in the Bible who gave everything she had so that her dependence was totally on God? Are we going to be like the rich people who threw coins from their abundance at God’s temple? Or, are we going to be like the rich young ruler who absolutely knew what God wanted him to do but he lacked the courage to do it. All I want to say, is God will provide. He always has. He always will. And we can’t afford to not get involved in what He’s going to do here at Mobberly. God help us, but let’s be like the widow woman who totally depended on God to see her through when all she knew to do was give.”
