University of Texas at Arlington – Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting)

Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary – Master of Arts in Christian Education
Where were you born and raised?
Prior to moving to Longview in 2005, I lived virtually my entire life in Grand Prairie, Texas.
When and how did you come to know Christ?
My family brought me up going to First Baptist Church, Grand Prairie. On a Sunday morning at age 8 at First Baptist Church, Grand Prairie, God used our pastor, Dr. J. H. Wright to talk to me about the burden I felt and lead me in praying to accept Jesus as my Savior.
When and whom did you marry?
I married Betsy Oliver on July 19, 1980.
Is there something about you people would be surprised to learn?
I grew up on a farm where we had a pet skunk named Pepe Lepew.
Your last meal would be:
Caesar salad, steak (well done), baked potato, and cheesecake.
What lesson from mom or dad do you still live by today?
Faith in God, teamed with hard work and integrity, ultimately is a winning combination.
