Where did you go to college and what degrees did you obtain?
I went to the University of Texas at Austin (1991) for my Bachelor of Arts. I did my graduate work at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1994) and received a Master of Arts in Religious Education.
Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Victoria, Texas. I was raised all over Texas—Austin, El Paso, Jefferson and Killeen.
When and how did you come to know Christ?
I accepted Christ when I was 13 in a worship service at First Baptist Killeen.
When and whom did you marry?
I married Jamie McLeod in 1995 after we had met at Fielder Road Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas.
How many children do you have?
We have 3 children, two boys—Joshua (12); Jared (9); and we are in the process of adopting Sophie (1).
Your last meal would be:
Tex-Mex with a large Coke Slurpee.
