The thing I love most about my job is:
Watching kids grasp a spiritual truth….seeing God make a truth real for them.
Where did you go to college and what degrees did you obtain?
East Texas State University – Texarkana – BBA-emphasis in accounting.
Where were you born and raised?
Born in Rapid City, SD. When I was 6, my family moved to Texarkana, TX. I consider Texarkana my home town.
When and how did you come to know Christ?
I accepted the Lord as my Savior at the age of 7. I know I didn’t understand all of what that meant at that age but I did understand I was a sinner and that Jesus died on the cross so that I could have a relationship with Father God. As I grew to be an older child, youth and young adult I learned more about making Jesus the Lord of my life and following and obeying him.
When and whom did you marry?
I married David Brooks on July 19, 1986.
How many children do you have?
We have two teenage boys, Matthew and Michael.
What do you like to do with your free time?
I enjoy spending time with my family….being a spectator at our boys’ sports, band and debate events; being adult sponsor for youth events and playing various table games with extended family.
Your last meal would be:
A shrimp feast.
