Our time of Bible study is discussion oriented. Our mission projects are geared primarily to meeting the needs of our single adults in the area. Our fellowships may be a game night at a class member’s home, eating out, bowling, taking a road trip, or joining in with a church-wide event. The Singles Empty Nesters or “Near” class, is a growing vibrant group in our 50’s that seeks God’s will in our lives and daily walk. Our goal is to grow in our relationship with God so that we can share God’s love with others. We keep active and grow our friendships with weekly fellowships, Sunday lunches and through mission opportunities. The fellowships usually focus around eating but we also have devotionals and activities as well. Frisbee golf, musicals, events and plays as wells as the occasional family friendly dance night are just some of the activities we enjoy. Each person in our group adds a special dynamic and piece to the puzzle. Our hope is that you will add your piece of the puzzle so that we can have a more complete picture of what God wants us to be.

We have widows, divorced, single, and a few who are married but their husbands don’t attend church. With a group this varied, you can be assured that someone has walked down the same path you are experiencing. We have a strong active group of about 20 ladies that love the Lord and love to serve in numerous capacities in our church and community. Warmth, laughter, hugs, and serious Bible study occur each Sunday. Our class is called the ‘Agape’ class. We are a group of seniors, mostly widow’s, who enjoy studying the Bible together, praying for one another and living up to our name daily.

Adult men of all ages are welcomed. This is an informal opportunity to share and express your needs, concerns, thoughts and convictions with men from various walks of life and experiences. Our goal is to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Our small group family is designed to reach the needs of those in our choir, orchestra, and media teams. We are a family made of all ages and backgrounds who enjoy fellowship and Bible study in a laid-back and discussion-based setting.

The LaJoie class represents a group of adults of all ages ranging from late 20’s to 50’s. Most of our couples have two or three children. We study the Bible together with great class discussions. We have lessons on parenting, marriage, and many life topics. Our class gets together on a monthly basis for couple socials, ladies activities, and men’s activities. We do many family activities such as camping, picnics, and lake parties. Our class is also involved in mission projects at least every other month where we serve the Lord together. Our ladies include working moms and stay at home moms. Our couples are from all walks of life and have a heart for outreach to others. Most importantly, we’re fun…so Small Group is never boring! Our class is comprised of folks from age 30 to 70. Some have kids, others have grandchildren. Lots of our members are involved in ministries that go beyond the church walls. Our teaching style is discussion and we have lots of class participation. Balanced between the Old Testament and New Testament teaching, emphasis is on everyday living and how the study relates.

We are a young adult married couple’s class; average age is 25 to 30. We have some couples with children and some not quite yet. Our class loves to share how God has not only transformed our individual lives, but our marriages as well and we love living life together as we grow and learn God’s Word. We are an eclectic group. We range from young couples with no children to expectant couples, to families with children, and families with college age kids. The kids usually come and enjoy fellowship and the high school age kids engage with and watch the younger children during our group time. We engage in Biblical study but sometimes we just gather for fellowship times or discuss the last sermon from Pastor Stone. We always share prayer requests and spend time lifting each other up and continue to share via e-mail throughout the week. We meet from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. but you will find many families just hanging out afterwards enjoying fellowship. We meet on Saturday evenings and share snacks or desserts. We meet in group members’ homes in the Honeysuckle Farms area.

Our group is made up of families living in the Hallsville area and we meet at the home of Mitch and Robin Fortner. We begin at 5:30 p.m. with a fellowship meal and move into a time of Bible study with lots of group discussion and prayer. Our families have children from ages six through college. We practice being a support group to anyone hurting or in need of physical help; we always keep these matters confidential.

The Burns Small Group is made up of a diverse group of couples whose common denominator is our love for the Lord and a hunger to dig into His Word. We range in age from early 40’s to late 50’s. Our children range in age from elementary school age to “grown with kids of their own.” We also have some “single again” folks who attend our class regularly because they feel comfortable in our class. We try hard to make everyone feel welcome. We get together as a group at least quarterly and also love to throw in some “Ladies only” and “Men only” events along the way. Many of our members enjoy coming at the 8:00 hour so they can serve in the worship ministry at the 9:30 and 11:00 hours. We study God’s Word in a discussion oriented atmosphere, serve together on mission projects and frequently gather for fellowship.

The Ralph Small Group wants our time together to be the starting point for living out the Great Commission. We love God and His Word and we get fired up reading it, discussing it, learning it, and then, we are challenged to get out in the world and “do it”! Our group is made up of all ages and recognize we are sinners saved by His grace. Some of us are still raising children, some empty nesters, and some are grandparents. We like to laugh and eat! We strive to live out our faith by loving our neighbors through our daily lives and organized community projects.

Our age group is from 50’s to 60’s and aging as we faith journey through life. We enjoy our intimate atmosphere on Sunday’s and our Bible study is taken from the true word of God and applied to our daily lives. Prayer time is always taken before our Bible study. We discuss our needs, salvation for the lost, and give God praise for the things He has blessed us with. We have our socials on week nights and leave the week ends open. We enjoy having Sunday lunch at a local restaurant together after the church service. Our spiritual growth is based on prayer, Bible, worship, fellowship and witnessing.

The members of the Jennings class range in age from mid-forties to upper fifties; a mixture of singles and couples, most of us have children who are out of college, but some of us still have kids in high school. We like to study God’s Word (typically study through a book of the Bible at a time), serve (we serve dinner at the Hwy 80 Rescue Mission every 2nd Tuesday and tackle other assistance projects as we learn about them), and eat (most of our fellowships included food, and the men meet at Jucy’s every other Monday while the women are at Bible study).

Our class has a relaxed atmosphere, strong Bible content, lots of class discussion, Mongolian mission connections, great fellowships, a spiritual growth focus, and age is not a factor.

Our class is made up of believers who enjoy studying God’s Word together. We are a mixed class with some members who are divorced. Most of our class has been married for over 40 years and are either taking care of older parents or have experienced the passing of parents after long term care giving. We enjoy a great fellowship and look forward to our time together.

In our class, the average age is 62. We have a mix of couples and widows who believe in serving as living proof of a loving God. We believe in the power of prayer and praise and both are an important part of our class time as we constantly see God answer our prayers. We study the inspired Word of God, book by book, chapter by chapter, and word by word as we seek truth, direction and the will of God in our lives. We seek maturity and joy in our Christian lives as we study the Word, discuss it’s meaning to each of us and share how we can be transformed to the image of Christ. We have frequent class socials and fellowships so we can relax, have fun together, laugh a lot and share the ups and downs of our lives. We are senior adults mainly in our 70’s and 80’s, comprised of both couples and singles. The door to our class is open to all. Our ears are open to hear God’s Word. Our eyes are open to mission opportunities. Our hands are open to give to the Lord’s work and the needs of others. Our hearts are open to fellow class members in fellowship and ministry. We are a senior adult’s class and enjoy coming together to study God’s Word in a discussion-oriented atmosphere. We meet on Sunday mornings for a time of Bible Study, fellowship and encouragement. We are following God’s lead to enrich our relationship with Him and those around us.

We are senior adults who are young at heart… known as the Joy Class. Our Bible study is characterized by vigorous discussions which investigate scripture topics each week. Never a dull moment! Once a month we socialize around a table full of good, down-home cooking. We invite you to join us.

Our class is a mixture of aged 50’s through 70’s couples and single men and women who want to experience a deeper Bible study together. Prayer requests are updated through the week by e-mail. Good fellowship is enjoyed through planned socials and after Family Evening Worship which is held each month. We welcome new members into one of our six Care Groups. Our Class cares for one another as has been expressed by so many members. We have outreach opportunities such as jail ministry, Hannah House, feeding of homeless families, mission trips and other opportunities for service as they come along. The “Prime Time” class is filled with senior adults who love the Lord. We are a caring and close group who loves to study Gods Word on Sunday mornings. We are involved with helping others in need and have an active prayer chain. We have a class social the 3rd Friday of each month (the food is awesome) and the ladies meet for a birthday (brown bag) lunch on the first Monday of the month. Everyone is welcome.

The Yeates class is composed of couples and singles ranging from age 55 to 80. The class is divided into six small care groups, each with its own leader to meet the needs of each member. A newsletter with emphasis on activities, birthdays, prayer request, and praise is published each week. We have couples who serve in different ways in our Small Group and we have an emphasis on monthly socials and birthday dinners the first Monday of each month.

Young and old are welcome in our class. We are mostly seniors and retirees, but some of us are still working. We all want to remain active in Kingdom work. On Sundays we enjoy interactive Bible study, prayer time with a weekly updated prayer list, and fellowship. There are monthly fellowships, pot-luck socials at the church. Many of us are involved in ministries inside and outside the church. Sometimes we do ministry projects as a class. Our prayer chain keeps us current with urgent prayer requests. The “Friends” Small Group loves the Lord, loves one another, and wants to share the love of Jesus with others. Visitors and new members feel an immediate welcome.

The focus for our Small Group is based on Acts 2:42: “They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” We fellowship together on Monday eveningsat 6:00 at the church in room D-106 with dinner and an in-depth Bible study. Adults in all stages of life are welcome, and childcare is provided! Many of our members currently serve on Sunday mornings, so we take this time to focus on our own spiritual development and needs.
