Celebrate Recovery Step Studies
Wednesdays • 6 p.m.
Women's Step Study - new group beginning January 18, 2017.
Men's Step Study (CLOSED). New group beginning soon.
A Step Study is how we work through our hurts, habits, and hang-ups. We use Participant Guides to direct us on a personal journey through each of the 12 steps and 8 recovery principles. Step Study Groups are gender-specific and led by men or women who have completed a step study themselves. Initially, Step Studies are open to new additions. Once the group has completed the first Participant Guide (through Step 3), the group is closed to new people. The reason for this is that the fourth step is the “Inventory Step” and is considered more difficult due to the need to “dig” deeper into the why of our behavior. At this point, the members of the group have all shared details about themselves and a great deal of trust has developed among those members. This provides a safe and trusting atmosphere to continue working through the steps to recovery.
