Overcoming Life's Hurts, Habits, & Hang-ups
CR is a recovery program based on the eight principles from the actual words of Jesus. It is a biblically based and balanced program that can help you overcome Alcohol Abuse, Depression, Codependency, Drug Abuse, Bitterness, Pornography, Lying, Sexual Addiction, Bulimia, Insecurity, Need to Control, Fear, Anger/Rage, Sexual Abuse, Emotional Abuse, a Stuggling or Failing Marriage, Gambling, Divorce, Anxiety, Grief, Homosexuality, Anorexia, Pride, Workaholism, Guilt/Shame, Manipulation, Overeating, Overspending, Perfectionism, Abortion, Physical Abuse, Resentment, Shopping Addiction, Spiritual Void, TV Addiction, and much more. Over the years the Holy Spirit has used this program to transform literally thousands of lives helping each person to grow toward full Christ-like maturity. This ministry seeks to celebrate God’s healing and redemptive power in our lives recognizing Jesus Christ as our one and only higher power. We invite you to experience change, allow God’s grace to help you solve life’s problems, and allow him to release you from your addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors that have been holding you back from authentic joy and freedom in your life. If you are ready to experience freedom from life’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits we encourage you to check out Celebrate Recovery here at Mobberly.

Celebrate Recovery Step Studies

Wednesdays • 6 p.m.

Women's Step Study - new group beginning January 18, 2017.

Men's Step Study (CLOSED). New group beginning soon.

A Step Study is how we work through our hurts, habits, and hang-ups. We use Participant Guides to direct us on a personal journey through each of the 12 steps and 8 recovery principles. Step Study Groups are gender-specific and led by men or women who have completed a step study themselves. Initially, Step Studies are open to new additions. Once the group has completed the first Participant Guide (through Step 3), the group is closed to new people. The reason for this is that the fourth step is the “Inventory Step” and is considered more difficult due to the need to “dig” deeper into the why of our behavior. At this point, the members of the group have all shared details about themselves and a great deal of trust has developed among those members. This provides a safe and trusting atmosphere to continue working through the steps to recovery.
