American Red Cross 1604 HWY 31 S. (903-753-2091) – serves people in need due to local and national disasters. Volunteer for disaster relief services, donate blood, work in shelter feeding or in bulk supplies distribution. www.redcrosslongview.org

Buckner Children and Family Services 110 Cotton St. (903-757-9383) – Contact Michelle Dixson. A Christian non-profit organization that provides services to families. Serve on Tues. & Thurs. by shopping or volunteer at mission. Donate new socks & underwear, toothbrushes/toothpaste, washing detergent, paper goods, etc. Adopt a family at Christmas. www.buckner.org
Jail Ministry Men - (903-720-6341) – Wes Anderson local contact. Serving includes visiting inmates, encouraging, teaching, evangelism and preaching if desired. 

Jail Ministry Women - (903-806-5424) – Pat Webber local contact. Serving includes visiting inmates, encouraging, teaching, and evangelism.

Habitat for Humanity 300 W. Tyler St. (903-236–0900) Christian housing ministry which help families to get into a home they can afford. Two volunteer opportunities: construction work or work at the Restore Building Supplies Center taking in donations and helping customers with purchases. www.Longviewhabitat.org

Highway 80 Rescue Mission 3117 W. Marshall Ave. (903-759-9875) – Shelter for homeless men. Help serve meals stock canned goods, entertain, and give hope to hurting people. www.hiway80mission.org

Hope Haven ( 903-234-2583) – A shelter to help homeless women and their children to transition into a new life in Christ. Serve by donations and/or teach life skill classes on 1st & 3rd Tuesdays. (Can goods, paper towels, cleaning supplies, feminine hygiene products, etc.) www.hiway80mission.org

House of Hope Rescue Mission for Women 3011 W. Marshall Ave. ( 903-295-0904) – Sister Helen Johnson local contact. Provide relief to women and children who are survivors of domestic violence or homelessness. Help by donations and some volunteer work. Longview Interfaith Hospitality Network (903-643-2918) – Barbara Kiser local contact. A partnership of 14 churches in the Longview area who offer temporary housing and food to a maximum of 14 people or 4 families for 7 days (4 times per year). Requires 2 hour training course. Service opportunities include: preparing/serving meals, assisting with homework, play with children, transportation, laundry, encouragement, etc. www.familypromise.com

Longview Community Ministries 405 N. 5th St. (903-753-3561) – assists persons in need. Meals on Wheels, Food Box, Stewpot – Martha’s Kitchen, Family Crisis Service Center, Coats for Kids. www.longviewcommunityministries.org

Mobberly (903-753-5973, 903-238-8418) - A shelter that provides short-term housing and counseling for men when they come out of prison, persons with substance abuse, and mental health problems. Salvation Army 519 E. Cotton (903-753-4511) - A shelter that provides short-term housing for families. Provides assistance electric bills, food, and clothing. Volunteers need fro 5-6:30pm to serve dinner. Donate towels, sheets, and canned goods. www.salvationarmy.org

Women’s Center 1415 McCann Rd. (903-295-8067) - Contact Paula Ellis. Assist by providing paper products, feminine hygiene products, pampers, housecoats, clothes, etc. Also need assistance in December to provide Christmas for children.
