Our Beliefs


Mobberly Baptist Church is affiliated with the Southern Baptist Convention .

A brief statement of our core beliefs is listed below:

blueleaf_iconWe believe that Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died as our substitute upon the cross, was resurrected from the dead, and is coming again.

blueleaf_iconWe believe that the Bible is the authoritative, inerrant, infallible word of God to men. Romans 15:4, 2 Timothy 3:16
blueleaf_iconWe believe that all persons are born with a sinful nature and that God’s remedy for man’s ruin is entirely of grace through one’s transferral of trust to Jesus Christ.  Romans 3:23, Ephesians 2:8-9, John 3:16
blueleaf_iconWe believe that when a person has transferred his trust to Jesus Christ that he is born into God’s family and is forever secure in Jesus Christ. He is called to live a holy life.  Ephesians 4:30, 1 Peter 1:15-16
blueleaf_iconWe believe that the church is the body of Christ with the mission to preach the Gospel to all the world. We believe that the ordinances of the church are believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper.  Matthew 28:19-20, 1 Corinthians 11 :18-32
blueleaf_iconWe believe in the personal, visible return of our Lord Jesus, prior to the establishment of His kingdom. Those who are believers shall be forever in the presence of God, and those who have rejected Christ will be forever separated from the presence of God.  1 Thessalonians 3:13, Colossians 3:4
